Our Puppy Trainers are here to provide guidance on all aspects of raising a puppy!

Puppy raising can be hard work, but our highly knowledgeable team of Academy Trainers will make sure the process is streamlined for you. Our Trainers will lay the foundational skills for your puppy, so that your puppy develops into a social, adaptable, and well trained canine companion. Along the way, Trainers can help you with anything puppy related.

A well rounded curriculum awaits! Your pup will be learning everything you want them to know!

During Puppy Academy, our Trainers will provide structured learning opportunities. All of our Trainers are certified dog trainers with experience supporting early development. Part of each day is dedicated to obedience fundamentals like sit, stay, and down. Potty training is also a priority to set your puppy up for success at home. As well as, crate training in a positive way to help puppies feel comfortable and safe in their own space.

Puppy Academy Trainers gradually introduce your puppy to things you’d commonly expect at the vet and groomers to create positive associations and minimize stress later on. Such as standing on a weight scale/examination table, touch from a stranger, being brushed, the sound of a nail Dremel/blow dryer, etc. Last but certainly not least, Trainers provide a safe and positive setting for puppies to interact and play under supervision while they learn social and communication skills.

Every puppy parent wants to spend more time enjoying puppyhood and less time worrying about training.

Schedule your puppy for Puppy Academy today and give yourself a break! Our caring and knowledgeable Trainers will provide the perfect balance of supervision, enrichment and socialization that your puppy needs while you recharge. With our help, you can spend less time on the nitty gritty details of raising a puppy, and more time enjoying that sweet puppy breath.

Our dedicated, certified trainers will curate a program that is tailored to your puppy.

Before your puppy joins Puppy Academy, one of our Trainers will guide you through a brief registration process over Google Meet. They will make sure your puppy’s Academy schedule fits your goals and offers a diverse selection of training, socializing, and enrichment opportunities.

Sydney (she/her)

Sydney has been working with dogs since 2017, but she has always had an affinity for animals for as long as she can remember! She has spent the last three years exclusively pursuing her love for dog training. This transition helped spark her passion for not only teaching, but also helping create a healthy bond between dogs and their pet parent!

Sydney is currently in the process of earning her degree in behavioral psychology and plans to continue her educational journey within the dog training community, as well. Sydney believes that it is critical to keep current on the ever-changing science and techniques used within the dog industry in order to best set pet parents up for success.

As an advocate for science-based methodologies, Sydney uses positive reinforcement and Fear Free based approaches while training. She has had so much fun putting these practices to use while participating in Metro Dogs Trick of the Month program, and she’s so happy that she gets to share these ideals while teaching the Puppy Basics in the Social Classroom and the Trick Training class!
