Our Puppy Professionals are here to help!
Puppy raising can be hard work, but our highly knowledgeable team of Academy Trainers will make sure the process is streamlined for you. Our Trainers will lay the foundational skills for your puppy, so that your puppy develops into a social, adaptable, and well trained canine companion. Along the way, Trainers can provide guidance on anything puppy related.
Say hello to our Certified Dog Trainers
Before your puppy joins Puppy Academy, one of our Trainers will guide you through a brief registration process over Google Meet. They will make sure your puppy’s Academy schedule fits your goals and offers a diverse selection of training, socializing, and enrichment opportunities.
Puppy Academy Syllabus
During Puppy Academy, our Trainers will provide structured learning opportunities. All of our Trainers are certified dog trainers with experience supporting early development. Part of each day is dedicated to obedience fundamentals like sit, stay, and down. Potty training is also a priority to set your puppy up for success at home. As well as, crate training in a positive way to help puppies feel comfortable and safe in their own space.
Puppy Academy Trainers gradually introduce your puppy to things you’d commonly expect at the vet and groomers to create positive associations and minimize stress later on. Such as standing on a weight scale/examination table, touch from a stranger, being brushed, the sound of a nail Dremel/blow dryer, etc. Last but certainly not least, Trainers provide a safe and positive setting for puppies to interact and play under supervision while they learn social and communication skills.
Spend more time enjoying puppyhood
Schedule your puppy for Puppy Academy today and give yourself a break! Our caring and knowledgeable Trainers will provide the perfect balance of supervision, enrichment and socialization that your puppy needs while you recharge. With our help, you can spend less time on the nitty gritty details of raising a puppy, and more time enjoying that sweet puppy breath.
Available weekdays at Metro Dogs!
Puppy Academy is a 6 week program that includes up to 12 sessions of Training Days or Free Play Days. We recommend that your puppy attends twice per week on Training Days to maximize learning potential, but you may use your 12 sessions however best fits your schedule.
Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays are Puppy Academy – Training Days.
Two Certified Dog Trainers begin working with your puppy at 9AM until 1PM. Preferred pick up time begins at 12PM until 1PM, where one of the trainers is available to give you an update on your puppy’s day! Not able to pick up between 12pm and 1pm? All Day Play add on is available to extend pick up between 3:30pm and 6:30pm.
Wednesdays & Fridays are Puppy Academy – Free Plays.
These are supplemental socialization days to be used as a “booster” for those puppies that need additional socialization. Free Play Days are not intended as the sole reservation type if your puppy attends Puppy Academy. Free Play Days do not include training time with 2 Certified Dog Trainers.
